E Session James & Aimee

It has been quite awhile since I've done an engagement session but this was a lot of fun. We started off at the park where James proposed to Aimee...just a subtle little park with some pretty flowers, a nice arbor and some benches. They were even willing to try some of the poses I had drawn on a piece of paper (stick figures and all) of stuff I really wanted to try. Then with a race against the sunset we headed to Ault Park where I haven't shot in years. I fell in love with that park...again. I am going to make it a point to do some more sesions there. The arches are an amazing backdrop to compliment an already adorable couple. : )
I didn't have too much time with the sun going down and James yawning every 5 minutes but we got a lot of great shots. Oh, and I love hearing engagement stories...from the simply sweet to the charismatically complex. I told myself I was going to bed at 11 p.m. tonight. It is now nearing 2 a.m. and I just can't seem to pull myself away from editing these. Photoshop isn't as scary as I thought it was.

Baby N's 3 month photos

This was another fun session with one of my friend's babies. He was one perky little 3 month old and he let us try some new and fun poses on him. He even sat in a chair for us.

He actually sat and posed for me for once. Yes, there was food involved. I believe cheerios did the trick.

Newborn Baby N in the house of light.

This was my first session with my new Canon 50D...and oh, it is sweet. I'm in love with this camera. Baby N is my friend's second boy. She has been faithful to me in my photography journey for about 9 years now. Thank you Lord for good friends who believe in you like she has. I think I have photographed her family more than anyone else so you will be seeing a lot of her precious little children. Prepare to be bombarded with more cuteness than you may be able to handle in one day.

Snow Days February 2010

We had quite a few days off for school this year. I had to of course beg Trenton to go outside in the cold to get these shots. I think a bribe may have been involved.

Baby J born in January

This is when I fell in love with newborn photography. The grandmother of this boy was so generous to knit up a few hats and diaper covers while I was there and GAVE them to me for free. I was beyond ecstatic. This was my last session my my Canon Digital Rebel. BTW, she has a site on Etsy if you are interested in some for your own bundle of joy. : )
